ESCAPE ROOM
- open innovation

Real innovation leadership happens in crisis moments when stakeholders are pressuring you, resources are limited, and every solution creates three new problems. Practice the strategic thinking that matters most.

- Some crises need political finesse
- Others demand bold transparency
- Many require calculated risks
- All test your leadership under pressure

What decisions will you make?

This simulation isn't about finding perfect answers:
it's about practicing strategic decision-making when everything is at stake.

Why  it matters

Innovation leadership isn't one-size-fits-all. Understanding your decision-making patterns under pressure helps you:

Navigate stakeholder conflicts instead of avoiding difficult conversations
Identify strategic blind spots before they derail your biggest initiatives
Practice crisis management in a safe environment with realistic consequences
Build confidence in high-stakes innovation decisions

Benefits  of PRACTICING INNOVATION CRISIS MANAGEMENT

Enhanced Crisis Leadership:
Experience realistic innovation crises and practice your decision-making approach under pressure without real-world consequences.

Improved Strategic Thinking:
Navigate complex scenarios where stakeholder politics, resource constraints, and technical challenges collide in realistic ways.

Better Risk Assessment:
Learn to evaluate cascading consequences and strategic trade-offs across multiple realistic innovation crisis scenarios.

Strategic Career Development:
Identify growth opportunities and leadership blind spots based on your crisis management choices and strategic preferences.

WHAT IS STRATEGY QUEST ESCAPE ROOM?

It's a business simulation that puts you in realistic innovation crisis scenarios where you make strategic decisions and see how they cascade into new challenges. Unlike traditional case studies, this simulation branches into 40+ different scenarios based on your choices, showing how innovation leadership decisions create complex, interconnected consequences in real-time.

HOW LONG DOES THE SIMULATION TAKE?

About 10-15 minutes to complete one full path through the crisis scenarios. The simulation is designed to be engaging but respectful of your time: you'll get meaningful strategic thinking practice without a huge time investment. Many participants go through it multiple times to explore different decision paths.

IS THIS SUITABLE FOR TEAMS OR JUST INDIVIDUALS?

Both! While designed for individual strategic thinking practice, many teams use it as a discussion starter for innovation strategy sessions. The scenarios often mirror real challenges teams face, making it valuable for exploring different approaches to stakeholder management, resource allocation, and crisis navigation together.

HOW REALISTIC ARE THE SCENARIOS?

Very realistic (with a twist of humour and some pages are fairly creative). They're based on actual innovation leadership challenges from 50+ corporate innovation programs. The scenarios include authentic stakeholder dynamics, budget pressures, timeline constraints, and organizational politics that innovation directors face daily. Many participants say "this feels uncomfortably familiar."

WHAT DO I GET AFTER COMPLETING THE SIMULATION?

You'll receive insights about your strategic decision-making patterns, potential blind spots in crisis situations, and reflection questions to help you apply the lessons to your real innovation challenges. The goal is actionable self-awareness, not generic personality typing.

IS THIS JUST ANOTHER PERSONALITY TEST?

No. This focuses specifically on strategic decision-making under pressure in innovation contexts. Rather than telling you "what type of person you are," it shows you how your choices cascade through complex organizational systems and helps you practice navigating realistic trade-offs and consequences.

CAN I RETAKE IT TO EXPLORE DIFFERENT PATHS?

Absolutely! The simulation has multiple branching paths, so exploring different decision routes helps you understand how various strategic approaches play out. Many innovation leaders find it valuable to see how different choices in the same crisis lead to completely different outcomes and challenges.

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM TRADITIONAL INNOVATION TRAINING?

Most innovation training focuses on frameworks and best practices. This simulation focuses on the messy reality where frameworks collide with politics, stakeholder conflicts, and resource constraints. It's about practicing judgment calls and strategic thinking when there are no clean answers—which is where real innovation leadership happens.
